Q. How do I make a reservation?

A. Call Molly’s Trolleys at (412) 281-2085.

Q. What is the minimum number of riders required for a group to charter a tour?

A. You must pay for at least 20 seats on the trolley to charter a tour.

Q. What is the maximum number of riders each trolley can transport?

A. Each trolley can comfortably transport a maximum of 30 people per trip. Yes, you can rent more than one trolley per event for your group, but you must have at least 20 people per trolley.

Q. Will my group have a “Tour Guide” the whole time?

A. Not necessarily. The type of tour you are taking will determine whether there will be a guide on the trolley for the entire trip. Of course, you will have a guide during the sightseeing portion of the tour, but he or she may not accompany you everywhere you go. For example, shopping, lunch, ect. But never fear, our drivers are the best! And normally, it is your driver who will handle all the details that are not associated with “tour narration.”

Q. What about complimentary tours?

A. Your group receives 1 complimentary seat with every 25 paid riders. This seat is usually reserved for the group coordinator. After all, this person does most of the work in putting together a day of fun for your group and he or she should get to go for free, don’t you agree?

Q. Where will you pick us up?

A. Molly’s Trolleys can pick-up your group anywhere in Allegheny County. Each trolley has tires, not rails, and they are built on bus frames so they operate just like a bus on the highway, except, they are absolutely gorgeous!

Q. How will you know where to pick us up?

A. When you return your contract and deposit payment, please enclose written directions to the pick-up location. And, be as specific as possible from the closest major intersection as possible.

Q. Do I need to pay a deposit to reserve a trolley?

A. Yes, a deposit of only $150 per trolley is required to reserve a trolley for your event. After you call and we discuss the tour you would like to take, we will send you a confirmation letter. Simply sign the contract and return it along with your deposit payment. Then, you are all set!

Q.When is my final payment due?

A. Your final payment is due two weeks prior to your event. We will be happy to make any last minute adjustments up to 24 hours before your tour.

Q. Is my deposit refundable if I have to cancel?

A. Unfortunately, NO. There is a $150 non-refundable cancellation fee. We must receive your cancellation no later than 24 hours prior to event. Otherwise, payment is due in full.

Q.What if my group wants to use Molly's Trolleys to go to a play or just out for lunch?

A. Great! You can charter our trolleys to take your group almost anywhere you want to go in Allegheny County. If you like to plan your own events, like a trip to a matinee or another attraction, we are here to assist you in every way possible. Simply call for our rates!

Q. Do we have flexibility with the times you have listed for the tours?

A. It simply depends on the tour you decide to take. We have to stick to a schedule as guidelines for a trip, but we can sometimes adjust certain aspects of the schedule to fit the needs of the group. We will work with you.

Q. May I use a page from the Group Tour Book as a flier to advertise the tour we want to charter?

A. Yes, please do! Feel free to make a copy of any information sheet from our Group Tour Book to post on the wall of your Activity Center or to make fliers! Be sure to add the date of the tour at the top of the flier, as well as instructions on how to sign up.

Q. Who should I make my check payable to and where do I send it?

A. Your deposit and final payment checks should be made payable to Molly's Trolleys. Please send all payments and correspondences to 3046 Penn Avenue, P.O. Box 40340, Pittsburgh, PA 15201. And remember, send only one check for payment. Several individual checks will not be accepted.
