Holiday Tours
The holidays are a perfect opportunity to get family, friends and co-workers together aboard a 1920’s- style trolley to celebrate this festive season. All of our tours offered require at least a 20 person minimum per trolley. If your group has less than the 20 person minimum requirement, you are still responsible to pay for at least 20 people. Molly's Trolleys operates within Allegheny County only. All of our tours are offered Monday through Friday unless otherwise stated. If there is a particular tour that your group is interested in, but you do not see it listed, please contact our office and we will work with you in order to come up with a tour that meets your needs. The following are a list of package tours Molly’s Trolleys offers during the holiday season. Please be aware that tours are subject to change without notice. All of the following tours require a 20 person minimum, 30 person maximum per trolley.
Fall Foliage Luncheon Cruise: Travel in style aboard a 1920’s-style trolley to the Gateway Clipper Fleet dock where you will board a grand riverboat. This delightfully festive cruise features a tasty luncheon buffet and live music, games and lively song and dance revue.
Holiday Lights Tour: Board a gorgeous 1920’s-style trolley decorated for the holiday season and laugh at your friends singing off-key to holiday favorites as you journey to see the spectacular “Celebration of Lights” at Hartwood Acres! Detour through downtown to see the Unity Tree, Kaufman’s windows and PPG Wintergarden before heading off to Hartwood Acres.
Hartwood Mansion Tour: The Hartwood mansion sits on a 629 acre estate park. Designed in 1929 by Alfred Hopkins for the John Lawrence family, the mansion houses a fine collection of original English and American antiques. Its 19th century style architectural design affords both young and old the opportunity to glimpse into a piece of Pittsburgh’s past.
Narcisi Winery Tour & Tasting : Located in Gibsonia, this Italian Villa style Winery is nestled in beautiful natural surroundings of creeks, young vineyards and trees that offer a picturesque setting. Tour includes a slide presentation of wine making and the history of the winery by the Narcisi Winery's knowledgeable staff. Next, guests will savor a sit down tasting of five wines. After the tasting, guests are invited to take a walking tour of the vineyard, followed by dinner at the winery.
Holiday in Oakland: Your holiday wouldn’t be complete until your group has the opportunity to view the Live Nativity Scene at the USX Tower, see the Santa displays at the PPG Wintergarden, Kaufman’s Windows and the Unity Tree. Next, find yourself amidst the splendor of Phipps Conservatory Winter Flower Show and Garden Railroad. Travel through Oakland and listen as our professional tour guide showcases Oakland’s grand homes decorated for the holiday season. Conclude with a tour of the Nationality Rooms located in the Cathedral of Learning situated on the University of Pittsburgh’s campus with each room featuring its own distinctive take on the holiday season!
Candlelight Hartwood Mansion Tour: Your group will travel aboard one of our unique trolleys to the 629 acre estate park known as Hartwood Acres. Here, enjoy a docent-guided candlelight mansion tour decorated for the holiday season and a tour of Hartwood’s “Celebration of Lights”.
Miniature & Model Train Tour: All Aboard!!! For all you miniature and model train lovers, visit the Garden Railroad at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and the Miniature Railroad and Village at the Carnegie Science Center.
